MAN KILLS SON,MUTILATES WIFE OVER ALLEGED INFIDELITY

A washerman, Henry Nnamdi has allegedly killed his one-year old son,Chukwuebuka,in order to spite his wife,whom he accused of having an extra-marital affair with his father.The incident happened at their Ago,Okota,Lagos area home. Henry used a hot pressing iron to burn his wife,Mercy in order to force her to confess to the allegation.


As he burned her,their one -year old son woke up,crying and he grabbed the child and fled.The corpse of the child was later found in the compound.According to sources at the Okota Police Division,the couple who have been married for two years,had a history of fighting and on four occasions,a police report had been filed by Mercy.


Mercy stated that Henry had been quarreling with his father and had banned her from going to see him but out of respect she continued to get in contact with her father-in-law.Her father-in-law had warned her not to stay with her husband because of his behavior but she did not listen.Mercy is receiving treatment at a hospital for third degree burns all over her body and cervix.She has to wear adult diapers and has no money to pay her bills.Meanwhile, Henry is cooling his temper at State CID,Panti,Yaba.He has stated that he did not mean to kill his son but only threw him on the ground.The boy died after being slammed on the ground,Henry will be charged for murder and attempted murder according to police sources.
