FUEL SCARCITY IN THE OFFING AS NUPENG COMMENCES STRIKE


National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (Nupeng) wednesday followed through with it's threat to embark on solidarity strike over Lagos State government's refusal to recall the 788 sacked doctors.

The oil workers said it was directing its members to stop supply of petroleum products to Lagos State despite several warnings from pressure groups.An official who confirmed the industrial strike yesterday said the union actually stopped lifting petroleum products from the depots since Tuesday,The official said most filling stations were currently selling products that were supplied before the directive noting that the effect of the strike would be felt when the products are exhausted.

  1. Fashola is showing his true colour now because he knows he doesn't have to seek re-election. To play with something as serious as efficient healthcare for the citizens of Lagos is just plain ridiculous.He doesn't have the interest of the people at heart at all.How can 300 doctors that he has employed effectively do the jobs of 788 doctors that were scaked.He should reinstate these doctors.
