$620,000 BRIBE : FAROUK LAWAN DETAINED BY POLICE

The acting Inspector-General of Police,Mr Mohammed Abubakar and three Commissioners of Police on Thursday grilled the chairman of the House of representatives,Ad-Hoc committee on the Fuel-subsidy management,Farouk Lawan over his role in the collection of $620,000 from an oil marketer,Femi Otedola.

Lawan arrived at the Force Headquarters,Abuja at 4pm and was immediately ushered into the office of the acting IG.Also at the grilling was CP Ali Ahmadu,head of the IG's Special Task Force on the matter.He was subsequently detained at the police headquarters.
