POWER OUTAGE AT ABUJA AIRPORT: FLIGHTS RE-ROUTED,PASSENGERS STRANDED

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport,Abuja

For the third time this year,the runway lights at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport,Abuja went out yesterday evening.As a result no planes could land or take-off from the runway.The outage was attributed to rats that had eaten up the cables.International flights had to be re-routed to Lagos where passengers were offered accomodation to spend the night while an Arik flight from Port-Harcourt was asked to return to Port-Harcourt.
