STATE OF KADUNA STATE : CHURCHES EMPTY AS SOME STATE GOVERNMENTS EVACUATE THEIR STUDENTS FROM AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY


Churches in the Kaduna metropolis were mostly empty Sunday inspite of the ralaxation of the 24hrs curfew for four hours.Text messages had been circulating that churches in the state may be attacked Sunday by Boko haram.Most residents used the four hours to replenish on food supplies.Some churches where services held were guarded by heavily armed soldiers and security agents.There were checkpoints on the roads and highways while surveillance helicopters hovered over the city.Click on read more below to continue....

There were also indications that  some state governments had sent luxury buses to evacuate students of their state origin from the Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria.The public relations officer of the institution said the development would definitely affect the institution's academic calender.The Dean of Student's Affairs went on air to assure the public that the campuses were peacful as the school authorities had taken adequate security measures.
