BOMB EXPLOSIONS IN OKENE AS WORSHIPPERS SCAMPER FOR SAFETY

 Worshippers in Living Faith and Deeper Life churches in Okene,Kogi State scampered for their lives when a car loaded with explosives exploded during the church services.The incident which occurred at about 9: 30am caused pandemonium as the worshippers and residents of the area ran in different directions.Click on read more below to continue....


The police authorities in the state confirmed the bomb blast.The state Police Public Relations Officer,Mr Ile Simon,however said that there was no casualty.He also hinted that one of the two occupants of the car had been apprehended and that investigations was ongoing to get to the root of the bomb blast that generated considerable fear across the state.An eye-witness noted that the intention of the occupants of the exploded car was to wait for the church services to end before striking.

The witness also added that the intention of the bombers was that the car which was parked in a nearby filling station would proceed to the church when the worshippers were leaving the church.According to him,one of he two occupants was making a call outside the car when the bomb went off.While he escaped,his accomplice who was in the car was not as lucky.He was
apprenhended by security agents. God be praised!
