The lone gun man who entered an Aurora,Colorado movie theatre about 12: 35am Mountain Time and shot at least 12 people dead and injured dozens, James  Holmes,24 has been identified as a PHD student of Neurosciences at the University of Colorado Medical School.A university spokesman told NBC news that Holmes was in the process of withdrawing from the school.

Movie goer,Christopher Ramos recalled the real-life horror of the midnight premiere of the latest Batman movie''The Dark Knight Rises'' in Aurora,Colo as a gunman decked in riot gear,set off smoke bombs and opened fire on the unsuspecting audience in the dark movie theatre.He had gained entrance into the movie theatre through an emergency exit.Holmes was captured by Police in the parking lot while still wearing a bullet-proof vest,riot helmet and gas mask, eerily similar to one worn by a villain in ''The Dark Knight Rises''.

He  warned police that his Aurora apartment was booby trapped,leading Police to evacuate the apartment complex.They were working this morning Mountain Time to gain entry into and diffuse the apartment which they said seemed to be elaborately rigged with explosives.The apartment and those nearby would have been blown up.The apartment complex is home exclusively to University of Colorado Medical Center students,patients and staff members.
