FEMALE BANKER ESCAPES MANSLAUGTER CHARGE



The police in Lagos today dropped a charge of manslaughter 
against a female banker, Yinka Johnson who was accused of
killing an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management
Authority, (LASTMA) Hammed Balogun last Friday in Ajah,Lagos. Johnson was accused of driving against traffic and running over Balogun on the Lekki-Epe Expressway at Ikota.Click on read more below to continue...

LASTMA General Manager had accused the banker of killing
the traffic official.He had alleged that Johnson who is an
employee of Stanbic IBTC bank in Lagos killed Balogun while
attempting to flee.However,witnesses said the LASTMA official
was killed by a bus driver who was driving ahead of Johnson and
fled the scene upon realising what had happened.Yinka Johnson
is now to be charged with reckless driving.She was granted bail
and the case adjourned to Sept 3rd.
