Lagos State Government on Wednesday said both riders of commercial motorcycle and their passengers would be prosecuted for driving on expressways, bridges and other restricted routes.
Commissioner of Transportation ,Kayode Opeifa gave the warning
at a stakeholders meeting with transport unions and operators of
Opeifa said that despite the signing of the bill into law and the
massive enlightenment campaign embarked upon,it was disturbing
that motorcycles below 200cc still ply the restricted routes
including bridges and highways with impunity.Some of the
restricted routes for motorcycles and tricycles include all the
highways and dual carriage ways among others.Some of them
include Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,Apapa-Oshodi Expressway,
Oworonshoki-Oshodi Expressway,Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway,
Funsho Williams Avenue,Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway,Third
Mainland Bridge,Eti-Osa-Lekki Expressway,Lagos-Badagry
Expressway,Agege Motor Road,Alfred Rewane Road,Ahmadu
Bello Way and Agege Motor Road among others.

This okada ban is going to cause serious traffic congestion in Lagos.Inspite of their
