The United States Mission in Nigeria has alerted Americans resident in Nigeria as well as Nigerians to the likelihood of terror
attacks during the observation of the Eid-el Fitri holidays. In an
Emergency Message dated August 16 posted on its website,the
mission said it believed that an anniversary security event would
occur and warns citizens to exercise caution and remain vigilant

''The U.S Mission strongly urges U.S citizens in Nigeria to consider their personal security and to keep personal safety in the forefront
of their planning.All U.S citizens should use caution and discretion
when deciding to attend large functions or visit establishments
identified as potential targets and respond appropriately if they
