Sources in the neighbourhood said some days before Sunday,
Iya Anu had sent Seubow on an errand with N1000. He came
back and said he lost the money.She believed he stole the money
so she beat him up and refused to feed him for more than four days.Severely hungry,he sneaked out one night to buy a N50
Gala to eat.When Iya Anu found out,she accused him of stealing her N50 to buy the Gala.She then beat him up,using a rod for several days until he died on Sunday.
After his death,neighbours stripped her naked and made her
carry the boy's corpse to the police station.They said she always beat the boy and it got to a point they got tired of intervening.
She had even been reported to the police before for battering the boy as evidenced in the picture below which was taken at a police station after she had battered him in June.
