Reports say the kidnappers of Prof. Kamene Okonjo, the mother of the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, have reduced their ransom demand from N1 billion to N200 million.
According to the report the kidnappers have demanded the resignation of the minister as a condition for the release of her mother.
The report claims that the fresh demands were the outcome of the latest negotiations between the victim’s family and the kidnappers on Wednesday.
