DRIVER SENT TO PRISON FOR BLOCKING FASHOLA'S CONVOY

A Lagos driver,Mr David Abiodun,31 has been arrested by the police at Ilasan Division,Lagos State for allegedly blocking the Lekki-Epe Expressway with a truck at Ilasan area of Lekki on tuesday.The police arraigned him on wednesday before an Igbosere Magistrate's court on a five-count charge of dangerous and reckless driving. without regard to other road users and causing obstruction to the Lagos State governor's convoy.Click on read more to continue....


Abiodun,during interrogation could not give satisfactory reasons for blocking the road and also could not produce his driver's license   
 and vehicle particulars.He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N20,000.However,he was sent to Ikoyi prison when he could not perfect his bail.The case has been adjourned to June 6,2010 for mention.
