SACKED LAGOS DOCTORS,COURT UPHOLDS JURISDICTION,CAPACITY OF MEDICAL GUILD TO SUE; TRIAL COMMENCES IN JUNE

The National Industrial Court (NIC) yesterday in Lagos rejected an application by the Lagos state government to terminate the suit filed by the sacked 788 doctors asking the court to reverse their dismissal from service.On tuesday,the Lagos State government had asked the Industrial Court to throw out the suit.Click on read more to continue..


However,the court upheld the right of the Medical Guild to sue on behalf of the sacked doctors.The court also ruled that the NIC has jurisdiction to hear the case between the sacked doctors and the Lagos state government.
