IG: POLICE CONSTABLE TO EARN N50,000

On a visit to Lagos State,the acting Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police,(IG) Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar,yesterday stated that the minimum salary that the least paid police officer will earn is N50,000 if his proposal to the Presidency scales through.Click on read more below to continue.

He made the disclosure at the Police Command Headquarters while addressing personnel as part of his visit to the state.He said'' We are looking into the welfare of of our officers and we have made a proposal to the Presidency for the basic salary of constable to be a minimum of N50,000''.His declaration at the briefing sent the policemen into a boisterous celebration.He said this was to boost morale among the rank and file.He also said about 300 patrol vehicles would be deployed in the nation's highways to replace the dismantled road blocks.
