LAGOS ROADS CORDONED OFF FOR INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE VISIT

Wonders will never end in this country! This afternoon,an SSB (Susansavvy Blog) reader sent me a BB message and photos to show the suffering Lagosians were subjected today in the toll-gate,Berger axis of Lagos. All roads leading to that area were cordoned off for the visit of the acting IGP to the State Security Service office around CMD Rd.

Coming into Lagos from Ibadan end had traffic backed up to as far as Mowe while those coming from third Mainland Bridge towards the toll-gate were also blocked.Commuters were at a standstill for about 45minutes until his meeting at the SSS office was over. This is just like declaring curfew. Can you imagine if a woman was in Lagos in one of the vehicles which couldn't move.Well, she would have had the baby on the express or in the bushes nearby.Or any kind of life-threatening emergency for that matter.God help Nigerians, the other day it was the first lady who blocked the whole of Victoria Island.

I like this new IG but this is very insensitive to the citizens who have to move around for their daily bread or even to go about to seek medical attention for their medical conditions.

  3. Confirms the state of emergency and insecurity that define our sovereignty. The IG is expected to protect and defend and in the cause exposes Nigerians, his income payers to the dangers of Bokoharam that hushed up his boastful, big brag with a welcome bomb blast. Well I do not blame him but the imbecile call president who should have sacked him on the same day of his territorial bomb blast and his inability to redeem his status as an arms man. Well. Ask George Bernard Shaw - he is a chocolate arms man - arms and the man. I think our leaders should read more and the will find how well they play out as caricatures in many of these literary representations.
