President Goodluck Jonathan today in his National Democracy Day Broadcast announced the change of name of the University of Lagos to Moshood Abiola University.Students of the school,on hearing this announcement have taken to the streets in the neigbourhood.I just pray no students or residents of that area gets hurt.Heards roads in the area have been blocked by the angry students.Many,many years ago, I used to live in the area, on Moor Rd by Atan Cemetery. Hmmm,lets wait and see!
The naming of Unilag is all politics. GEJ should have named Abuja National Stadium after MKO. MKO was a pillar of sports in africa.
