The McDonnel Douglas MD-83 aircraft appeared to have had some techincal problems which forced it to crash into a power line before crashing into a two-storey residential building,according to eyewitnesses.The plane was said to be carrying 153 passengers and was heading to Lagos from Abuja.It was only four minutes from the airport.
