NEW PENALTIES FOR TRAFFIC OFFENDERS IN LAGOS



The Lagos State House of Assembly is trying to pass a new bill for traffic offenders.According to the new bill,the biggest punishment is the one for driving against traffic.If you are caught driving one way in Lagos,your penalty is 3years imprisonment with no option of fine.Click on read more below to continue....


Other penalties are;
1.Smoking while driving-N20,000 fine
2.Failure to give way to traffic on the left at a roundabout-N20,000 fine.
3.Disobeying traffic control-N20,000 fine.
4.Riding a motor-cycle against traffic-1st offender-N20,000,subsequent offender N30,000.
5.Driving without valid driver's license-vehicle to be impounded.
6.Driving with fake number plate-N20,000 and 6months in prison or both.
7.Riding motor-cycle without crash helmet for rider and passenger-N20,000 or 3 years imprisonment.
