OTEDOLA SUES FAROUK LAWAN,SPEAKER AND CLERK OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR N250B



Oil marketer,Femi Otedola,Chairman of Zenon Oil and Gas who claims he paid $620,000 as bribe to Farouk Lawan,suspended Chairman of the House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee on the management of the fuel subsidy regime has taken the Speaker of the House of Representives,Aminu Tambuwal,Farouk Lawan and the clerk  of the House to court,demanding N250b as damages as compensation for the loss of patronage he has suffered as a result of the listing of his company,Zenon Oil on the list of subsidy thieves.

The speaker and clerk of the House as well as Farouk Lawan were listed as defendants in the suit number FCT/3839/2012 filed on June 28.The Chairman,House Committee on Media,Public Affairs in a reaction to the law suit stated on Sunday that probably due to the weekend, the House was yet to receive the summons and that Otedola would hear from the House,once the summons is received.

  1. Otedola is fighting a lost battle...He should just wait for the outcome of the investigation.
    This might be a way to divert attention from the real issue of the subsidy probe.
