PHOTOS : LATE PRESIDENT JOHN ATTA MILLS OF GHANA LAID TO REST TODAY

Tens of thousands of people gathered in Accra,Ghana today to
attend the state funeral of President John Atta Mills who died in 
July.At least 18 heads of state including Nigeria's President
Goodluck Jonathan and United States Secretary of state,Hillary
Clinton attended the ceremony in Accra's Independence Square.

Mills who had long suffered from throat cancer died five months
before he was set to seek re-election.He was succeeded by his
vice-president,John Drahama.
