TWO BEHEADED IN IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND EX-MILITANTS' CLASH

Two students of Igbinedion University were reportedly beheaded on sunday morning during a clash between ex-militants enrolled in the school and suspected student cultists on the campus.The clash which started about 7am led to the destruction of property with many injured.Click on read more below to continue....

Recently,208 ex-militants were enrolled in the university under the Federal Government Amnesty programme.Some of the students said an earlier attack on a former Niger-Delta militant by a local cult group on campus caused the clash.The ex-militant then mobilized his boys for a revenge attack.

Many of the students on campus were sending distress calls to their parents and guardians for help before the police arrived the school.Edo State commissioner of Police,Mr Olayinka Balogun confirmed the clash and said policemen had been deployed to the school to control the situation.
